Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains what information Trivant.ai ("Trivant," "we," "us") collects, how we use it, and the choices you have. By using the Service, you agree to the practices described here.

1. Information we collect

• Account information: name, email address, and password (stored as a salted hash, never in plain text), or your Google account identifier if you sign in with Google.
• Trading data: positions, orders, fills, and account balances, either synced read-only from a connected brokerage through our data-aggregation partner, or uploaded by you as a file. We never receive credentials that would let us place trades.
• Profile and goals: what you tell us during onboarding about your experience level, goals, and risk rules.
• Communications: messages you send our AI coach, and any correspondence with us (for example, through the contact form).
• Usage and device data: standard technical information like IP address, browser type, and pages visited, collected automatically to keep the Service secure and working correctly.

2. How we use your information

• To operate the Service: sync and display your trades, positions, and portfolio.
• To generate findings, coaching insights, and lesson recommendations from your own trading history — including by sending relevant trade data to a third-party AI processing provider for analysis.
• To send you notifications you've opted into (findings, sync alerts, weekly reviews) — you control this from Settings, including which categories of email you receive.
• To maintain account security, prevent abuse, and comply with legal obligations.
• To improve the Service based on aggregate, de-identified usage patterns.

We do not use your trading data to train third-party AI models, and we do not sell your personal information.

3. Who we share information with

We share information only with the service providers necessary to operate Trivant.ai, under contracts that limit their use of it to providing that service to us:

• A read-only brokerage data-aggregation provider, to sync your account history.
• An AI processing provider, to generate coaching insights and chat responses.
• An email delivery provider, to send notifications and account-related email.
• A cloud hosting provider, to store data and run the Service.

If you subscribe to a paid plan, we'll also share the minimum billing information necessary (such as your name and email) with a payment processor to handle that transaction. We do not store your full payment card details ourselves.

We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights, safety, or property of Trivant or our users. We do not share your data for advertising purposes.

4. Data security

Brokerage connections are read-only by design — even if your Trivant account were compromised, no order could be placed through it. Passwords are hashed, not stored in plain text, and data is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security, but read-only access is a deliberate design choice to limit the impact of any breach.

5. Your rights and choices

• Export your data: download everything we've stored about your trades, findings, and conversations at any time from Settings → Your data.
• Delete your account: submit a deletion request from Settings at any time. We'll process it and follow up by email.
• Notification preferences: control which categories of email you receive, or turn email off entirely, from Settings.
• Disconnect a brokerage: revoke read-only access at any time from the Connections page; your historical data stays unless you separately request deletion.

6. Data retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. When you request account deletion, we remove your personal data and trading history, except where we're required to retain records for legal or regulatory reasons.

7. Children's privacy

Trivant.ai is not directed to anyone under 18, and we don't knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

8. Changes to this policy

If we make material changes to this Privacy Policy, we'll notify you before they take effect, the same way we would for changes to our Terms of Service.
